Kinder Mountain Rescue Team provides search and mountain rescue services in the English Peak District, Derbyshire.

We are based in Hayfield in the High Peak and our area includes Kinder Scout and west towards Stockport and Manchester. We provide a 365 days a year, 24/7 search and mountain rescue service to walkers and climbers in the Dark Peak, as well as assisting the police with lowland search and rescue of vulnerable persons.

Become a supporter

  • Do you live in the Hayfield, New Mills or Stockport area?
  • Would you like to become a Kinder Mountain Rescue Team Supporter?
  • Can you spare two hours 2/3 times a year?

If the answer to these questions is yes and you would like to help your local rescue team then then you are the person for us.
We are looking for people over the age of 18 to assist in making collections at local retail outlets and shows.
If you volunteer to become a Supporter you will:–

  • Receive a Support Team t-shirt
  • Receive a Kinder Mountain Rescue Team supporter car sticker
  • Receive invitations to Team social events
  • Become an important member of our voluntary organization.

Most importantly you will be helping to maintain this free 999 service.
